I Am REALLY DISAPOINTED!!!!!!!!

I have been waiting for color ink for my printer which I haven't been able to use in 2 years (It's the only color printer in the house). It took a whole week to get here because it's like 30$ to get it in one night delivery. It finally got here, my dad and I just set up the printer, and, one of the ink cartridges was burst open. AHHHH! I can't use the printer without having all 4 of the cartridges. Sucks.

JB Teletubbies! + Demi Lavato!

Check it! I do NOT like the Jonas Brothers, although you can probably tell!

I have nothing against Demi, I just needed someone to fill up Laa-Laa's head!
I don't dislike the Jonas Brothers for stupid reasons like some people. I just don't like their singing! And they always look like they are gonna cry when they sing!

LOST

Okay, have any of you heard of lost? it is the most amazing show! sci_ fi/ romance/ drama/action/scary/ AMAZING!!! most of the previous episodes are on abc .com (internet explorer) that you can watch and the 6th and last (sob) season is coming in early 2010. me and my dad want to have a lost farewell party on the night of the preimere of the last show of the last season! if you want to attend this maybe party, start watching. it's a bit confusing at first, but if have a open mind and you stay loyal to the show, you'll figure it out! p.s watch lost untangled (after you finish watching everything!!) it's funny but only after YOU'VE FINISHED EVERTHING!

Yin-Yang

For those who don't know what the Yin-Yang looks like, Check it!

yin and yang

The meaning of Yin-Yang

This Simbol(Yin-Yang) represents the ancient Chinese understanding of how things work. The outer circle represents "everything", while the black and white shapes within the circle represent the interaction of two energies, called "yin" (black) and "yang" (white), which cause everything to happen. They are not completely black or white, just as things in life are not completely black or white, and they cannot exist without each other.

While "yin" would be dark, passive, downward, cold, contracting, and weak, "yang" would be bright, active, upward, hot, expanding, and strong. The shape of the yin and yang sections of the symbol, actually gives you a sense of the continual movement of these two energies, yin to yang and yang to yin, causing everything to happen: just as things expand and contract, and temperature changes from hot to cold.

My Last Vacation!

I just got back from my last vacation of the year! It was to Ithaca, one of my favorite camping locations! But this time, we got a cabin. The cabins were clean, comfortable and really cool! I didn't sleep very well, but it was definitely worth it! I went hiking on the Mulholland Wildflower Preserve and had a cool adventure. I noticed a couple marks of animals. Like, droppings (hehe), a cracked-open nut, A beaver lodge and a tree with a big chunk taken out of. Heres a pic of the trail I went on:

It was sooo beautiful even though all the flowers had already died. We also went to a playground in Robert H Treman State Park. We went to the Commons which is like a block filled with stores and restaurants that cars are not allowed in. There is even a playground in the middle of the street! Heres a pic:

I cannot wait to go next year yay!

Fish

I really like making comics, but I have trouble drawing the same picture over and over. So, I decided to do one of the simplest things I could think of, fish! Here is my first comic...

Click on it to see it larger.

Wow

I have stayed up all night a couple times. My friend Alyssa and stay up for fun. Usually, I end up just sitting there, and the next second, *Boom*, I hit the ground fast asleep. But when I do stay up all night, I can't really enjoy the next day, I end up falling asleep and neither of us get up for a loooooong time. I think it's kinda fun, until I run out of things to do, then I just keep reminding Alyssa not to sleep!

wow

OMG i stayed up all night tonight, yep I'm still at it it's 5:20 in the morning and i've been awake for almost nine hours straight now, going for 12! man what a rush, i've never felt so alvive (and hungry)

Iroquois

Hiya! I'm really bored today because it is one of my few days where I have NOTHING to do. Sooo, I decided to do A project on the Native American Iroquois! I learned a lot about them in 4th grade (when I went to school) and I thought they were really cool! I am gonna type a report on the computer, and then, I'll make what I call, a shadow box! All you need, is a shoe box! I like to choose a topic, in this case the Iroquois, and then I learn about my topic. Then I collect stuff like magazine clippings and just about anything that corresponds with your topic! I used to make them at school and they were my FAVORITE! Please try it and leave a comment with a picture or description of what you made! I leave a picture as soon as I make it. Here are some suggestions of good topics:
-Your Fave Animal
-Your Pet
-A Person That Inspires You (like a president!)
-Yourself!

Party In The U.S.A

I really like this song, but everyone I know seems to HATE it! Except for a person I know in 4-H. But the oddest thing is, it is the top bought song on iTunes! I bought it for my iPod, but for some reason, it will not charge! I am sooo disappointed cause I had lost it and just found it and was excited to use it! I have a feeling it is my computer, not the iPod itself. I will have to put a poll out, so PLZ vote!

ERICA WEEK BEGINS!!

hello, in my latest post i said something about Erica week, and now it begins!!!!!!!!!!!!! let the eribration begin! (erica and celibrating together!)

Plant A Billion Bake Sale

I had another Bake Sale for the Nature Conservancy's Plant a Billion Program, but we got less money than last time! I made flyers and hung them everywhere and had it at a public playground! We got 35-38 dollars, I need to recount. My two friends Leela and Amy helped me by bringing food and working with me the whole time. I made apple muffins, brownies, Pillsbury Halloween cookies and Lemonade. Leela and Amy made Chocolate cupcakes and chocolate cookies. EVERYTHING was delicious! We had a great time pointing out ever single person that walked onto the playground and trying not to eat the yummy food! I want to continue thinking of different things to do to raise money, because it is sooo fun!

HVP Fall Fest

Today was the HVP (Hudson Valley Parents) Fall Fest! It was really fun! A bunch of people I new and lots I didn't came and had a fun time playing in the kids area and buying snacks at the bake sale. My mom and I helped run the bake sale by asking people to contribute snacks and drinks to sell. The bake sale proceeds went to the St. John Bosco Home and Family Services. I bet you won't believe it, but the bake sale made 300 dollars! Sweet right! There was a Raffle/PennySocial With some interesting stuff donated by local businesses like Gnorasauras, Little Ones, Half Moon books and much more. There were free massage coupons and paintings and books and lots of certificates for cool stores. I won a 20$ certificate to EveL sweets in New Paltz (a place I have never been) and I can't wait to check it out! Make sure, if your parents want to go and you live in Hudson Valley, to contact Erica Chase Salerno!
maybe cya there next year!

Lemonade Stand, Success!

My Lemonade Stand was a Success! I raised 40$ for the Plant a Billion program! I am going to save that money, have more fundraisers, and see if I can meet my goal, 1,000 dollars! It is a big goal to fill, but I am so going to surprise those people at the nature conservancy office in New Paltz when I bring in 1,000 dollars in cash! I will have to try hard and I need some help thinking of ideas so if anyone has one, please share! This was just a small part of a big project to help the plant a billion program plant a billion trees!
For more info on plant a billion trees, go to:
www.plantabillion.com
If anyone was wondering, I have a protected email and if anyone sends an email to nsnyder9@yahoo.com , she can forward me messages! But, I would think it would be much easier to leave a comment...

Independent Girls

Hello ppl! My mom sent me this article about this online magazine for girls like 10-16 (just a guess!) called Independent Girls. You can submit all sorts of things like videos, artwork and posts kinda like a blog! The cool thing is that TONS of ppl will look at it! I'm gonna join and if ur a girl that wants to join, email Julie Simons at: julie@independentgirls.org . Here is the article that mom sent me for more info!:

Subject: Writers Needed - Independent Girls, Inc.

Independent Girls, Inc. is a new nonprofit organization based in Florida , that aims to provide positive role models for girls, to get them thinking about goal setting and success, and to give them the tools to be self-confident, emotionally grounded, healthy, and independent.  The main tool for doing this is a website, http://www.facebook.com/l/4f4bd;www.independentgirls.org (to> be launched before the end of 2009).  Each week the site will feature
a different role model for girls as well as an article related to positive,
healthy girls' development. Â The site will send regularly scheduled
e-mails to girls and parents who subscribe. Â Independent Girls' goal is to
create a counterbalance to the celebrity-saturated, image-based culture of 9 –15 year old girls by providing girls with the strong, positive female role models who are currently missing from teen media and by addressing issues germane to girls’ healthy development. Â

Independent Girls seeks people to write original content for the website and weekly newsletters. Â Writers will identify, research, and write about
topics and trends salient to 9 – 15 year old girls, with an emphasis on what is important/necessary to becoming a healthy, balanced, emotionally grounded, confident girls.  Additional emphasis will be placed on understanding popular culture and developing the critical thinking skills necessary to becoming media literate/savvy.Â

Weekly articles should provide girls with information about things that girls
deal with between the ages of 9 - 15, for example self-esteem, body image, puberty, bullying/ cyberbullying, healthy relationships, eating disorders, healthy eating/nutrition, exercise, time management/stress management, goal setting, leadership, cliques and popularity, frenemies, peer pressure, financial independence, internet safety, and media awareness. Â Articles should be between 250-500 words long; some topics may need to be covered in a series of articles. Â Articles should be informative and easy to read and, most importantly, must engage girls. Â Articles should answer questions that girls have (and perhaps even answer questions that girls didn't even know that they had).Â

The site will also feature blogs where writers can have on-going editorial
columns about different topics.

Please contact Julie Simons if you are interested in getting involved with this project: Â julie@independentgirls.org/561-352-3511.Â
Compensation will be per article published and will be based on both the length of the article and how ready for publication the article is upon receipt by Independent Girls.

i was looking for links to watch the full harry potter 6 movie online, instantly, i found about 9, all i had to do was fill out a contest application or do a quick survey, why does that make me mad? BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE SURVEY THEY ASKED ALL KINDS OF PERSONAL INFO LIKE ZIP, EMAIL, PHONE NUMBER, FIRST AND LAST NAME. etc i did not fill out the application. also the only site that didn't have a survey you had to download, which is fine, expect for the fact my computer is so fragile i can't download ANYTHING see why that makes me mad?

Lemonade Stand!

Hey ppls! On the 19th of September I'm having a lemonade stand to raise money for the Nature Conservancy Plant a Billion program. The Plant A Billion program raises money and then uses it to buy trees that they plant in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil helping to recreate a forest! Each tree is 1 dollar and they are trying to raise enough money to buy 1 BILLION trees! They are planting 4 different kinds of trees called the "Guapuruvu" tree, the "Golden Trumpet" tree, the "Ice Cream Bean" tree and the "Capororoca" tree. We will be serving lemonade and lots of different baked goods. The lemonade stand will start 1:00 and end sometime before dark. Here is the address:

Ithaca Rocks!

I have just been to Ithaca on vacation the past weekend (12th-13th) and it was awesome! I went to the Robert H. Treman State park and saw the coolest waterfall! You can even swim in it! But it's only like 60 degrees there, and the water is like 40. Ok maybe 50! And you aren't allowed in the water until next summer, so I didn't go in! This is what it looked like:

It is the lower Falls of Enfield Glen. Isn't it amazing? I may go again in October. You should tell your parents! I give this place 5 stars! The campsites are huge and the scenery is awesome, for more info about Ithaca, go on www.cityofithaca.org . Check it out!

Um, I personally like the Cullens!
