I Won The Pickle Drawing Contest!!!

Here is a HILARIOUS story. My sister wanted to go to the Market-Market (Great name, huh) down the street so I gave her money and asked her to get me a bagel with cream cheese. Mom also asked her to stop at the Rosendale Youth Center to get some papers. So after maybe 10 minutes, my sister came back with a small package and an envelope. The package was my bagel. In the envelope, though, was the papers mom had asked for and something else, an award! I had went to the Rosendale Pickle Festival with a friend and we started getting bored so we entered a "Pickle Person" Drawing Contest. Turns out I got Third place! I thought the pickle was horrible! I guess I never figured the judges liked pickles with blue suits on! I got a big white ribbon and the "Prize Winning Pickle Person" I drew. It makes me laugh!

Mary Downing Hahn

hey guys, have you ever heard of the author Mary Downing Hahn? she writes all sorts genres, from horror to historical fiction and everything in between. the first book i read by her was "Deep and Dark and Dangerous" it was a ghost story about a girl who goes on vacation with her aunt and younger cousin, her cousin made friends with a strange girl and the girl shows the little girl a doll that she wants badly, a porcelain doll so the strange girl throws the doll in the lake and the little girl tries to get but Ali (the main charterer) says no. she finds out that the strange girl is a ghost, and this is how she died, her mother and her aunt (when they were little) played with this girl. they owned the doll first and they taunted the to jump in the swimming hole and get they doll, they didn't know this would happen but, the girl got caught on the rocks and drowned, never to resurface again. they never told anybody that they were involved in her death, so no one knew were her body was and she was never buried, but in the end Ali tells the people were her bones are and she buried, happy ending. many scary things happen in between, that you can find out for yourself. the most recent one i read was actually a couple minutes ago, but anyway,it was called the doll in the garden, another ghost story. this one you can find out about yourself, but i will tell you something, all her books are scary or sad in the middle, and immensely so, but the end is so sweet or amazing or something that they can't give you nightmares. the only other one I've read that wasn't a ghost story was called "Hear The Wind Blow" and tear jerking story that takes place during the civil war, from a Confederate's point of view. i cried about three times but at the end i smiled, that is how i know she is one of the best authors i have ever read. so if you know someone with a birthday coming up who love to read, make sure you have Mary Downing Hahn book wrapped and ready!

sry guys!

Room Makeover!

My mom, my dad and I gave my room an AWESOME makeover! My dad built a "Loft" over my Twin-Sized bed for my sister, we "deep-cleaned" my room and moved everything around! It looks really cool! The cool part is that it took 2 days to do it all. The only bad thing about it all is that I had to disconnect my computer and now I have to wait for dad to reconnect it. I am afraid to try!
